New Haircut

I was recently at Patsy's 2 year check-up (almost 3 months late, but she didn't need any shots and I knew she was fine) and her doctor asked me if we had cut her hair yet. We have twice, once by David and once by a professional. He then started talking about his daughter's hair and how once they started cutting it, it came in much thicker. I thought, note to self, pediatrician is telling me to get her hair cut.
Well you can't tell much here, but it's much shorter and we're still growing the bangs out. I like the head-band so I'm not messing with it as she might remember it's on, and then it would be off. In addition, 'her numbers' are great, with a signifiicant increase in her weight percentage bringing her up to almost 50th percentile! Her height is still tall at 76th percentile and head circumference 50th. Much more proportioned than in the past.

Brotherly, Sisterly Love

They're so cute when they're like this...it won't last. This was a rare occasion when we were early leaving for mass, which almost never happens.

Dancin', Dancin', DANCIN'

Patsy loves dancing and was dancing away while she waited for Daddy to fix her ba-ba.

Basketball

Nathan started basketball through the city, a junior warriors program (that's him in the back dribbling the ball). He LOVES it. It is a non-competitive league, meaning, they don't keep score at the games. However, our son came up to us afterwards and said, "We won. 22 to 10." We laughed and David said, "There's no score buddy, it's just for fun." Then Nathan sounding a bit irritated said, "NO, I was keeping score and WE WON, 22 to 10!" Then David under his breath laughing said to me, "That's right." In third grade he can start playing for CYO where we hear it's pretty competitive.
The boys have enjoyed hearing the stories of the basketball heroes in the family. Grandpa Babby, who earned a full-ride to Gonzaga on basketball. Auntie Denise, who traveled all the way to Japan for some championship game (I think that was it). Not to be forgotten, Auntie Kathy (my sister) who earned the title of "Most Improved Player" her freshman year. This totally ticked her off;)

George is Back!

Nathan had an assignment of an oral book report on a biography. He chose George Washington, hence the outfit. He did an outstanding job and I think has a great costume designer(especially since we did not buy one new thing for this one).

Football

The boys have discovered football on the television--thanks to Daddy. They love hanging out like this and watching with Dad, actually Brandon gets bored of it pretty quickly but Nathan will watch the whole game. We have a pretty strict no TV (unless it suits us, of course) and no video games in the house policy. Well the no video games approach was broken Christmas day when the boys opened up a Star Wars video game...I was just as surprised as they were. I looked at David while the boys were going nuts and praising Santa and said, "Wow, that is a surprise!" Then David announced the 'rules of engagement' with the game and is convinced it will be fine. I don't know about all this...we shall see. The poor game might accidently get broken. Wouldn't that be a shame?
