Balloon Mania
I picked up a book on balloon twisting that came with balloons. Since the kids love balloon creations so much, I thought we could learn do it ourselves. Here is one of the creations (I'm not sure what is was suppose to be), and you wouldn't believe how destructive it was. At one point while cooking, Patsy ran by the island in the kitchen and this "hat" was leaning over enought to knock about 3 things over in less than 2 seconds!

That's the Ticket!
David tricked Nathan into opening the front door, and look what he found! This is Dean's old bike (thank you Dean) and Grandpa drove it all the way to us the night before his big day. He was thrilled! He lunged toward it as soon as he saw it, ripped off the bow and hopped right on (as you can tell by his bare feet).
It is great timing considering David wanted to get him a new one for Christmas, but I convinced him he didn't need a new one (his other bike is in great condition). Then I saw him racing on it and no matter how fast he peddeled, the bike just wouldn't go very fast as he is too tall for it now. So Brandon now has two bikes. One with training wheels and one without.

Misery Loves Company
The boys are commiserating with Patsy who was in a time-out. She can pretty much do no wrong in their eyes (we've had the discussion that the rest of the world will not see her through the rose-colored glasses they do, but they don't believe us), and would rather sit in a time-out with her than let her go it alone. They're usually not allowed, but I wasn't up for the argument that night.
Don't you just love the *wonderful* twos!

Happy 5th Birthday Brandon!!!
We had a small family celebration for Brandon's 5th (boys asked to go skiing instead of parties--how could we refuse), which included our neighbor/friend and a surprise visit from Auntie Kathy and Dean! They drove all the way from Sacramento to surprise B. boy. He fell asleep with a huge smile on his face. Thanks Auntie:)
