Monterey for the Weekend

We took the children to Monterey for the long week to see the aquarium and hang out at the beach. Tons of fun....

Those little silhouettes staring up mesmerized are ours, 2 of them anyway. Of course, they wanted us to buy a big aquarium so we could have jelly fish like these at home. Yeah, keep wanting boys.

Our Patricia Marie is such a happy little girl. People often ask us, "Is she like this all the time?" I'm lucky to have to say, "For the most part, yes." We have her quite bundled up here as it was definitely chilly, but nobody seemed to mind.

Patsy loved the beach, but we fought over her keeping her hat on. Here is a brief moment when I let her have her way, but brief it was. Now we have hats with straps.

Brandon is swimming!!!

We have 2 little guppies in the house. Brandon is officially swimming. He's definitely doing the doggie paddle most of the time, but is getting better at using "big arms."

Of course this is the one that got me to throw my baby into the arms of a total stranger and launch myself into a pool fully dressed (with shoes on) when he got too far from the wall and started to struggle. No, I did not overreact. So, like I posted last year when Nathan started swimming, he'll be 25 before I ever consider him watersafe.
