Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving (our best one yet) and are very grateful for the blessings God has given us-- especially our children. And all of you--our family and friends. So come by for a visit! We'd love to see you and introduce you to our Patsy, she's a doll. God bless and Happy Thanksgiving!

3 Weeks Old

Patsy is 3 weeks old today! She's an absolute joy. She's also a night owl. Not difficult, just very awake at 2am and 4am. Not always that hungry, just likes to coo, look around and snuggle. So I have been up with her, enjoying it in my sleep haze, since this phase always goes by way too fast.

All 3 of my children were really good and happy babies. But Patsy has this aura or presence about her that just says... I'm a little lady. A certain daintiness and grace. I'm sure all Moms think that, but it's really true!;-) It is nice to be able to live in both worlds (not that I wouldn't be as annoyingly gushing over another baby boy), it's kind of like going through it for the first time again. New adventures.

Baby's 1st Thanksgiving

Here she is in her first little pink dress (thanks to "Gigi Ma" and Auntie Theresa). She looked just darling!

Sweetie Pies

Here's B. boy chatting with his baby sister. The boys adore Patsy. They are really good with her and VERY protective. It boggles me a bit that the big brother instincts kick in already. But then again, as a sister of 3 brothers, I don' t why I'm surprised.
Poor Patsy, all the boys are probably going to be too scared to ask her to the prom someday. However, when she is an appropriate age, it will provide a nice stream of pre-approved suitors;)

Picture Envy

Well, well, well...we try shot after shot after shot to try and capture these two boys looking like this at the same time. Uh-huh. Then in 15 seconds , 3 shots later the Parentes get this one. But of course!

The Pink Factor

It's so nice to have someone to wear pink with!

Kiss the Cooks

Chef Ramsey would be impressed with you two! David handled the bird (well done love, can't wait for the turkey sandwiches) and Larry and Erin did all the sides. DELICIOUS!!!

Holiday Fun!

Shaking the chipmunk cheeks. I think Larry & Erin rank highest in the best playmates category...no, that is not a comment towards your maturity you two--well maybe Larry's;)

Wakie-wakie

She's wide awake and flirting her way into Larry's heart. She still sleeps most of the day (not at night) but it's so fun when she's awake--so alert, smiles, and shows trepidation when her loving brothers coming running full speed ahead to give her big hugs and kisses! No wonder the third is so adaptable and perfect, they have to be ready for anything...can you tell I'm the third as well;)

Night-night...

until next time...sweet dreams...

David & his Mini-me

Loving the train ride, weather and all. We tride to go to the carousel as well but it was closed in preparation for Santa! So, we'll have to go back:)

1st Train Ride

She is sister to the Babby boys, so you didn't think she would make it to 3 weeks old without riding on a train first? Don't be silly, she's not too young. Plus, the painter was finishing the molding and we didn't want the kids breathing in the fumes. So a train ride and a day in Berkeley it was!

The Allens

The girls were so good with her, especially Sydney! And Ron...well I think he went home with his clock ticking;) Good luck Janelle!

2 Weeks Old!

Here she is, 2 weeks old and doing great! She is up to 7lbs 8 oz now. The wand next to her is important as it is a gift from her big brother. The day she was born my Dad took the boys to Super Franks and Nathan saved all his tickets and traded them in for a gift for his newborn sister. It was next to her bassinette when we got home. Such a good big brother:)

Cutie Pie

And such a good baby too!

Erin says "Coochi-coo"

Erin came to meet the little darling. It's so nice to have the Parente's back in the area:)

Kiddo Couch

Rheanna and Kara come for a visit. Rheanna is quite a natural for a 6 year old!

The 3 Muskateers

All 3 of them hanging out together!

Uh-Oh!

So here's how it happend. How my 2.5 week old got sick. Nathan came home from school with a cold. David and I just looked at each other and said "Oh no, here we go." Even hough we went through the whole protocol about handwashing, no hands in the face, etc. Nathan proudly announced "Mommy, She's sucking my finger!" She had started crying and his instincts kicked in, I guess. So at 2 weeks poor wee thing has a cold:( Now, if I can keep her from getting a fever we should be able to avoid any further issues!

8 Years Later!

Today is the anniversary of our first date...yes we remember that day too. It's funny to think how things change. All we had to do then is have a great sushi dinner, stand up friends from YAG (can't be doing church activities when things are going so well;) and linger at the Huntington for hours while we really got to know each other (and the wine list). So as you can tell, it was a very good date and the rest is history!

Patsy & Nathan

Nathan loves to hold Patsy and does a fine job at it! He's actually a big help and prides himself on being a great big brother. It's so cute to watch them make such a fuss over her.

Patsy & Brandon

B. boy loves to hold Patsy as well, but usually doesn't last as long.

Happy Birthday David!

Today we celebrated David's birthday...very low key but very fun. The boys got a candle too!

The Best Gift of All

Today was Patsy's due date and she is 1 week old, so it was sort of a dual celebration. It was nice to be home with her for all the fun (although the boys still don't understand why there was no bounce house for them).

Patsy Smiles

Patsy does this smiling mostly when she sleeps. This always makes the boys very excited and they yell "Patsy is smiling...she's happy Mommy!" It's so fun to watch her sleep and see the huge grins stream across her face.

1 Week Old

Patsy looks up at big brother Brandon as he tells her that she going to have ice cream for Daddy's birthday...sure she is! Ice cream A'la Mommy that is.

1st Doctor's Appointment

David is demonstrating what a fine job Patsy is doing "tracking." Another interesting point of note is what strong legs she has. The doctor asked me if she did a lot of soccer playing with me in the womb, because she had some of the strongest legs he's ever seen on a newborn. So he put her on her stomach and sure enough, she would've pushed herself right off with those skinny little legs. NO leaving her for even a moment!

Up 6 oz. in 1 day!

Weight is up to 6 lbs 14 oz and bilirubin is down. YIPEE! David is telling her what a great job she's doing thriving.

Little Lump-o-Luv

Here's a view of our first night home. There's nothing like relaxing and watching the tube, except watching the tube with the little bump of pink that just molds to your chest:) It's so nice having a newborn around again. I told David this is the smallest she'll ever be (she went down to 6 lbs. 8oz in the hospital), so we're doing lots of nursing and "kangaroo care" to get her weight back up.

Patricia has Arrived!

We joyfully announce the birth of our baby girl,
Patricia Marie Babby
"Patsy"
Born November 1, 2007 at 11:02 PM
7 lbs (exactly) 20 inces long
Her birthday is very meaningful to us since it's my mom's birthday as well, and she is named after her... so she is definitely heaven sent! Plus, I've never met anyone born on All Saint's Day that I didn't love :)

We're all very excited and she is doing great! Come visit we'd love to see you and you'll just love the little angel, we promise!

Mother & Daughter

Our very first picture together when she was just minutes old. I think we're all very relieved that the 16 hour fun filled labor process is OVER! Although it is well worth it.

Daddy & Daughter

David holds his daughter for the first time. She's the apple of his eye (or one of them anyway).

All of God's Grace...

in this sweet little face.

We've got our girl!

Here are the 1st shots of the 3 of us! She is absolutely PERFECT, just what we ordered:) We hope she's as happy with us as we are with her! Of course happy is an understatement, over the moon is more like it.

1st Bath

Patsy liked having her hair washed, the actual bath part she showed off what great lungs she has!

Me & My Babe

My best advice since I had Nathan is do nothing except hold and stare at your baby. It goes by much to fast.

They're in Love

David and his beautiful daughter.

How did I get so LUCKY?!!

I absolutely adore my little miss!!!

The Bodyguards

The nice thing about two big brothers is the built-in bodyguard factor. Now David and I don't have to hire some.

Auntie

Auntie Kathy gets her first niece. I remember that feeling!

Proud Grandpa

Now Dad has the Brady Bunch...3 boys and 3 girls. He was our life saver during our stay at the hospital. He took care of the boys, carted them back and forth, had a camp out in the backyard (tent and all) and handled the laundry. THANKS DAD!!!!

Good Luck Gentlemen

You'll be hard pressed to get past these 3! They are very protective already. The one is the middle is her big cousin Dean. He's actually average size... for a 10 year old (he's 7)!

I Bow to You

We used to do this to the girls when they were little. Now we try to, but, we usually find other ways to smother them.

Uncle Timmy & Aunt Jen

You know... now that you two are married, we could be visitng you guys in the hospital:) Come on, Patsy needs a playmate!

And then there were 5

Time to up the reservation number...actually, what am I thinking? We've just prolonged the take-out phase of our life :-)

Pretty Baby

She could be an angel! Definitey a keeper:)

Our Traditional Shot

Drew started this pose with Nathan, so we must have one for each one of the little darlings!

And she wore...

A Hello World outfit, Patty bought one for each one of the kids so it's a tradition around here. The darling little shoes that match Grandma Anita's blanket were a bit big but I had to get them in the picture (thanks Trishy, her first pair of shoes).
