The boys and I got the opportunity to see Katherine and meet baby Gabriana! We went to the Discovery Bay Museum and the weather was perfect! A little bit of everything, fog complete with horns and then sunny the rest of the day. They played outside most of the time and loved seeing the new baby. I think they're even more excited now.
Fortunately the fog cleared and we got to look at the bridge for awhile (plus it was nice to hear the fog horns as we arrived). I told them all about the things I used to do in the city and with who (aunts, uncles, Ma etc). They've put all those things on their list of things to do! So, Grandpa and uncles you'll have plenty to do... lets say sometime around mid November-December;)
The line up as they prepare for testing. They demonstrate combinations as a group and individually. Nathan has been invited to "Black Belt Club" but we are making him wait until he is 5 to enroll. He talks about doing it a lot, so it has served as a nice little carrot to increase compliance from the 41/2 year old:-) Oh, and yes, it teaches him to work hard to obtain something he wants/delayed gratification... la, la, la;)
B. boy gives a fond farewell to Kaitlyn as she heads to Oxford for the semester! Nathan wouldn't pose for the pic and then got upset after she left that he wanted take a picture with her...of course!
Nathan's class performed a puppet show, "The Gingerbread Man." Nathan was the gingerbread man in scene 1 in which he said to the cow, "I'm the gingerbread man, catch me if you can!"
Karli and Kyle came for a sleep over (we're doing some trading to allow for some "sans kids" travel time--can you imagine?) The kids convinced us a floor camp-out was a great idea, which it was, except for...
Here is the culprit who created the sleep challenge as he kept talking/laughing/playing and wouldn't allow the older ones to fall asleep! As soon as he saw my camera peeking through the door he quickly closed his eyes and stoped smiling in attempt to fake sleep. But I know better Mr. B!
